A Country Experience at the Edwards Family Organic's Farm

A country experience indeed, and I enjoyed every minute of it!  The sights, sounds and smells brought back some wonderful memories of my childhood living on the farm.  The two friendly dogs, Marley and Tiki,  alerted the family that I had arrived as I pulled up the long, dusty, gravel driveway.  With a corn field on my right, an organic spelt field on the left, and the sun lowering in the sky;  I felt my country heart come alive.

This session was going to be FUN! It was going to be unique and custom to this family - having the portraits take place at their very own Edwards Family Organic's farm in Millbank.

The first part of our session was spent capturing the whole extended family together, then Grandma & Grandpa together with the grandchildren, the grandchildren only, and each family individually.

Photo of each family individually, everyone together, and just the grandchildren.

The photo below, happens to be my favourite of them all together, and was taken on the bush lane behind the barn.

From here, we continued into a single family session with just the Edwards.

We had discussed at our Planning Session, that Mom wanted a canvas of her and her husband to hang in their bedroom, a large canvas above their couch in the living room, and a canvas cluster above the love seat.

We got busy and ventured around the farm - even adding an adorable little lamb into a portrait with the boys!  (Can you say "awwwww?")

Little Lamby and three handsome brothers.

And what little guy doesn't want a wheel barrel ride with a lamb?

This little lamb was bottle fed since birth so he enjoyed the snuggles and ride just as much!

Sometimes we have fun at our sessions...

We put the men to work and set up for our next set of portraits.

Country Handsome's.

To end the evening, we sent the kids off to play and spent time taking photos of just Mom and Dad.

The warm, golden, summer sun was just starting to set and we were able to capture this intimate moment of just the two of them...
